Scan Direct Pty Ltd was established in 1995 with the prime objective of supplying a variety of high quality, high tech, bar code scanning products and peripherals to the reseller environment, whilst providing competitive pricing and choice, along with superior customer service and support.


Background:

The principal of Scan Direct Pty Ltd (Glen Presser) has been involved in the bar code scanning industry since the early 1980's. He spent several years heading the service division of a large U.S. based scanner manufacturing company and supported the dealer base throughout Australasia in both a sales and service role. In 1990 he reached the position of Regional Sales Manager. It is this knowledge and understanding of customer expectations that underlies the concept and formation of Scan Direct.


Service & Support:

The staff at Scan Direct Pty Ltd understand that our customers require first class support just as their customers do of them. With this in mind, most repairs will be carried out "in house" by our experienced technical staff. If, for any reason, the unit must be returned to the manufacturer, Scan Direct will (when available) supply a suitable loan unit to the customer during this "down time".


On-site Service:

Scan Direct Pty Ltd offers on-site service to new and existing Point-of-Sale sites. If the equipment requires a more detailed repair that can be carried out at the premises, a suitable loan unit will be supplied to cover any down time.

Rental:

Scan Direct Pty Ltd can arrange short or long term rental of various Point-of Sale equipment including (Scanners, printers, cash drawers etc)


Warranty:

New products supplied by Scan Direct Pty Ltd have a warranty coverage that is defined by the manufacturer of each specific product. Information on coverage and length of warranties can be obtained through Scan Direct representatives.
